This gem is an excellent pick to prolong a little bit the festive season! Although based in LA in the 70’s – 80’s, Ambiance was lead by Nigerian-born saxophonist Daoub Abubakar Balewa, who was strongly influenced by African and Latin percussions. Both seems perceptible in the song with its splendid guitar and saxophone solos. The LP “Tight & Tidy” initially released in 1981 was thankfully given another life when repressed in 2016 by High Jazz Records.
