Larry Heard – Summertime Breeze – 1994

An awesome news of this strange summer was the reissuing of the first volume of Larry Heard’s “Sceneries Not Songs” on his own label Alleviated Records. Only few music producers could pull out such ambitious compositions and the Chicago House legend did particularly well in this regard. “Summertime Breeze” is my favorite of the album with its signature smooth keys which you can find in several Larry’s “Mr. Fingers” productions (like “Survivor” for example).

Stacy Kidd – How Bad I Want Ya (GU Peak True Time Mix) – 2020

Smooth and soulful vibes straight from the birthplace of House music. This gem is a showcase of Chigago’s quality House by three of the city’s finest: Stacy Kidd, Glenn Underground and Peven Everett.
“How Bad I Want Ya” was initially released under Stacy Kidd’s alias Soul Element in 2010 but this particular remix is featured in the very nice LillyGood Party! second compilation by Swiss digger Alex Attias.
