Paul Sabu – We’re Gonna Rock – 1979

With an explosive sound signature full of chords and strings, “Rockin’ Rollin’ Disco King” Paul Sabu the is the man behind several upbeat Disco anthems like Debbie Jacobs’ “Don’t You Want My Love”. He was a little late on the Disco train with his debut album “Sabu” starting out in 1979 (same year as the Disco Demolition Night). Yet, this album clearly paved the way for the sound of Italo bands like Kano in the 80’s.
“We’re Gonna Rock” is a first-rate choice for a Friday boogie 🕺

Update: the original was taken down so I switched it with Rahaan’s even bouncier edit of the song “Shut Up & Rock Me”.
