Niles Cooper – Emancipate Yourself – 2019

Danish producer Niles Cooper has been gaining momentum with noticeable releases in the last couple of years, including three on his own label Pale Springs Records. His “Sunday Jams” EP seems particularly suited for this blog, and not just for its name. Each song shows off in an original way his musical influences (Italo, Old School House…) as well as his ability to effortlessly create a pleasant song out of few instruments (referring to “A Piano And A Bass”). With the opening tune “Emancipate Yourself”, he manages to give even more energy to the famous Disco hit “it Looks Like Love” by mixing it with Gospel, perfect for peak time.
